IC 1396 - The Elephant's Trunk
This is a real relief after months and months of cloudy skies, rain and windstorms. I used the first clear nights of 2022 to collect some photons that have been travelling through space for 2400 years. This iconic dense pillar of gas and dust is just a small part of this big star breeding region.
